Village Quay
The Quay is owned by Great Comberton as a Village Green and was registered in May 1998. All the rest of the river frontage in Great Comberton Parish is privately owned and Birmingham Anglers own the fishing rights.
Avon Navigation Trust has responsibility for health and safety of the river frontage. Mooring is allowed at the Quay according to the Avon Navigation Trust website, for 24 hours maximum in the area normally delimited by blue posts. There is a bench which is maintained by the Parish Council and the land is mown by the Avon Navigation Trust. The Parish Council is responsible for pollarding the willow tree on the quay. The track down is a footpath and only for emergency Vehicle Access.
Fires, overnight camping and parties are forbidden. There is a right of way for Quay House across the Quay, but not for the land upstream.
Brailles Orchard
This is rented by the Parish Council from the Church Diocese (so the general Worcestershire church group, not our own Church) since 1980 on an annual rolling 1-year agricultural lease. Hay is taken off it once or twice a year and then the field is available for use by the village. Any users should consider neighbours bordering the field. It can be used for village events (e.g. weddings, funerals, car parking) if approved by the Parish Council, a small donation may be requested.
It is requested that all dog waste is picked up and taken home or to a dog waste bin.
